President and years. Note that dates reflect election dates. Elections are held in December of the given year and every 2 years thereafter at least from the late 1960s. Thus a president elected in December 2006 would actually serve from January 2007 to January 2009. Information on election dates prior to the early 70's is incomplete, although the November 1962 Forward references an annual election held in the month of October!

Friday, July 27, 2007. It appears that sometime after 1962 the DSEIU moved from an annual to biannual election of officers. Currently I estimate that this occured before 1976 but do not have enough data currently to make this determination. Also note that in the late 60s the Engineers were a part of the DSEIU bargaining unit. They shortly thereafter left to form their own association.
